Teitzel, City Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: REASSESS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> This project was initiated in March, 1984 by a petition represehting 100 <br /> percent of property owners. The City Council approved the project by <br /> Resolution No. 3849 on April 18, 1984, directing the Public Works Department <br /> to prepare plans and specifications and authorizing the costs of the <br /> improvement to be assess to properties within the improvement district in - <br /> aecordance with applicable sections of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br /> Ordinance No. 19266 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on July <br /> 23, 1985 levied assessments against the parcels of real property described <br /> therein for construction of sanitary sewers to serve the area between <br /> Centennial Boulevard and 200 feet south of Bardell Street from 3000 feet west <br /> of Lindley Lane to Lindley Lane. <br /> On the 12th day of August, 1985, by Resolution No. 3939, the Council <br /> declared its doubt as to the validity of the assessments levied therein for <br /> the improvements in the proposed Eugene's Park Place Subdivision and declared <br /> its intent to reassess those properties. <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL: <br /> The first action should be to adopt the findings. The second action should <br /> be to approve the ordinances. <br /> - <br />
