<br /> M E M 0 RAN DUM <br /> e <br /> October 9, 1985 <br /> TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: Planning Department <br /> SUBJECT: TALLACKSON/LESHER REQUEST FOR ANNEXATION AND CITY ZONING (AZ 85-2) <br /> The two applicants request annexation of two parcels located south of the' <br /> existing termination of Spring Boulevard. The Tallackson parcel on the east <br /> consists of 3.8 acres and is vacant and covered with Douglas fir and ground <br /> vegetation. The Lesher parcel on the west is also vacant and consists of 1.4 <br /> acres. Included in the request is the unimproved right-of-way between the two <br /> parcels of Spring Boulevard. The requested city zoning is RA Suburban <br /> Residential District. <br /> On September 24, 1985, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br /> annexation and zoning of the subject request to the City Council. During the <br /> public hearing, concern was expressed regarding the future connection of the <br /> unimproved Spring Boulevard between the two parcels with the current Spring <br /> Boulevard located directly to the north. Staff indicated that in conjunction <br /> with development of these parcels, the unimproved portion would be realigned <br /> e to connect with the existing street. This realignment would require <br /> rededication of Spring Boulevard across Tax Lot 2800, the Tallackson parcel, <br /> and future vacation of the unneeded Spring Boulevard right-of-way. <br /> The area of this request is located within the area of the adopted South Hills <br /> study and future development of these parcels will require conformance with <br /> the standards and density contained in the South Hills study. <br /> Council action requested: Recommend annexation to the Lane County Local <br /> Government Boundary Commission and approve city zoning to RA Suburban <br /> Residential District. <br /> Attachment: vicinity map <br /> JC:kb/0931S <br /> e <br /> . <br />
