<br />e: M I NUT E S <br /> Eugene City Council <br /> Special Session <br /> McNutt Room <br /> November 18, 1985 <br /> 6:10 p.m. <br /> COUNCILORS PRESENT: Cynthia Wooten, Roger Rutan, Richard Hansen, Deborah <br /> Ehrman, Ruth Bascom, Emily Schue, Jeff Miller <br /> COUNCILORS ABSENT: Brian Obie, Freeman Holmer <br /> The special session of the Eugene City Council was called to order by <br /> Council President Cynthia Wooten. <br /> I. PLANNING COMMISSION INTERVIE~S <br /> The following candidates were interviewed for two positions on the <br /> Eugene Planning Commission: <br /> 1) Dorothy Anderson <br />e.", 2) Pat Vallerand <br /> 3) Sally Weston <br /> 4) Randy Thwing <br /> 5) Joan Ri ch <br /> The sixth candidate, John Potter, was unable to attend the interview <br /> session but had submitted a written response to the questions on the <br /> agenda. The Councilors agreed to accept Mr. Potter1s written response <br /> in lieu of interview and to postpone a decision on the appoinbnents until <br /> December 4 in order to give Councilor Holmer an opportunity to listen <br /> to a tape of the proceedings. <br /> II. DOWNTOWN COMMISSION INTERVIEWS <br /> The following candidates were interviewed for one position on the <br /> Eugene Downtown Commission: <br /> 1) Steven Caffery <br /> 2) David Funk <br /> 3) Julie Aspinwall-Lamberts <br /> Again, the Council agreed to postpone a decision on the appointment until <br /> December 4 in order that Councilor Holmer have an opportunity to review <br />.. the tape f th~9S.
