<br />e M I NUT E S <br /> Eugene City Council <br /> McNutt Room--City Hall <br /> July 11, 1990 <br /> 11:30 a.m. <br /> COUNCILORS PRESENT: Mayor Jeff Miller, Emily Schue, Rob Bennett, Debra <br /> Ehrman (after 12:20 p.m.), Ruth Bascom, Roger Rutan, <br /> Shawn Boles (until 1:00 p.m.), Bobby Green. <br /> COUNCILORS ABSENT: Emily Schue, Freeman Holmer. <br /> The adjourned meeting of July 9, 1990, of the Eugene City Council was called <br /> to order by His Honor Mayor Jeff Miller. <br /> 1. ITEMS FROM THE CITY COUNCIL, MAYOR, AND CITY MANAGER <br /> A. Schaeffer Building Purchase <br /> Mr. Green announced that he was in attendance at the Lane Council of Govern- <br /> ments (L-COG) meeting at which time the Board of Directors authorized the <br />e Executive Director to enter into funding negotiations on behalf of L-COG for <br /> the purchase of the Schaeffer Building. Additional information will be <br /> forthcoming. <br /> B. Goodwi 11 Games <br /> Mr. Green announced that he will be representing the City of Eugene at the <br /> July 16 ceremony for the Goodwill Games. US Bank is the sponsor of this <br /> event. <br /> C. Looking Glass Board of Directors <br /> Mr. Green indicated that he has been elected to serve on the Looking Glass <br /> Board of Directors. He will keep the council informed on the status of this <br /> appointment. <br /> D. Fungicide Spraying <br /> Mr. Green informed the council that he has received several telephone calls <br /> from citizens in his ward who are concerned with the recent occurrence of a <br /> helicopter spraying fungicide in the Terry Street area.
