<br /> e M I NUT E S <br /> Eugene City Council <br /> Council Chamber--Eugene City Hall <br /> October 8, 1990 <br /> 7:30 p.m. <br /> COUNCILORS PRESENT: Robert Bennett, Shawn Boles, Debra Ehrman, Freeman <br /> Holmer, Roger Rutan. <br /> COUNCILORS ABSENT: Emily Schue, Ruth Bascom, Bobby Green. <br /> The regular meeting of the Eugene City Council was called to order by His <br /> Honor Mayor Jeff Miller. <br /> I. PUBLIC FORUM <br /> Mayor Miller explained that the public forum was to allow citizens the <br /> opportunity to express opinions and to provide information to the council, <br /> and he asked that testimony presented during this segment be limited to three <br /> e minutes and be on City-related items not on present or pending council <br /> agendas. <br /> There were no requests to speak. <br /> II. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. Approval of City Council Minutes of July 18, 1990, lunch/Work <br /> Session <br /> Mr. Bennett moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, to approve the item <br /> on the City Council consent calendar. Roll call vote; the <br /> motion carried unanimously, 5:0. <br /> III. PUBLIC HEARING: PROPOSED TREE PRESERVATION CODE AMENDMENTS (CA 90-2) <br /> City Manager Mike Gleason introduced the topic. Allen lowe, Planning and <br /> Development Department, reported that the tree preservation code amendments <br /> under discussion represent a collaboration between the City of Eugene and <br /> lane County. Based on comments received at the Eugene and lane County <br /> planning commissions' September 18, 1990, joint public hearing, the code <br /> issues affecting the area within the city limits have been separated from <br /> those issues affecting the area between the city limits and the urban growth <br /> e MINUTES--Eugene City Council October 8, 1990 Page 1 <br />
