INTRODUCTIONS AND PUBLIC HEARING <br /> The meeting of the Lane County Board of Commissioners was called to order by <br /> Chair Bill Rogers. <br /> The meeting of the Springfield City Council was called to order by his Honor <br /> Mayor Bill Morrisette. <br /> The meeting of the Eugene City Council was called to order by His Honor Mayor <br /> Jeff Mi 11 er. <br /> Mr. Rogers read the descriptions of the ordinances which would be considered <br /> at this public hearing and explained that for the purpose of this hearing, <br /> all ordinances would be considered at the same time. <br /> Gary Darnielle, Lane Council of Governments (L-COG)t gave a brief staff pre- <br /> sentation. He noted that the ordinances being considered tonight represent <br /> the culmination of several years of work and reflect consensus approval of <br /> all three jurisdictions. <br /> Mr. Darnielle explained that the purpose of the first three ordinances is to <br /> streamline the process of amending the Metro Plan.
