PUBLIC HEARING: BUSINESS LICENSE PROGRAM CHANGES
Greta Utecht, Planning and Development Department, gave the staff report.
She said that the City's general business license provisions were last re-
vised in 1985. While these regulations have provided a good framework for
the individual types of business licenses now issued by the City, some gener-
al provisions need to be revised in order to reflect current business prac-
tices, State laws, and local needs. Sections specific to detective and secu-
rity agents and agencies also have come under scrutiny following recent staff
experience with enforcement actions. All proposed revisions can be found in
Chapter 3 of the Eugene Code.
e
MINUTES--Eugene City Council November 5, 1990 Page 6
