RESOLUTION REGARDING A SPECIAL ELECTION RELATED TO A PUBLIC VOTE ON <br />THE DOWNTOWN <br /> <br />Warren Wong, Administrative Services Director, gave the staff report. He <br />explained that this is a resolution calling a special election to submit to <br />the voters of the city an amendment to the Eugene City Charter that requires <br />a public vote to authorize additional vehicles on the downtown mall. The <br />signatures were turned in and verified by the City Recorder's Office. If the <br />council decides not to take action on this measure, it will go to the May <br />1992 primary election.
