Mr. Gary said that he supports the recommendation <br />that the City not enter into confidential settlements. <br /> <br />Responding to a question from Mr. Boles regarding SBI00l (special fund for <br />economic development loans and grants) discussed in the April 22 minutes, <br />Glen Potter, IGR, said that staff felt this bill would create burdensome <br />administrative procedures for the City. He added that Lane County officials <br />have indicated their willingness to support an amendment to the bill deleting <br />cities from its provisions. <br /> <br />Referring to the minutes of April 22, 1991, Mr. Boles asked that HB2773 and <br />HB3533 be brought back for further discussion. Mr. Nicholson also requested <br />that HB3287 and HB3222 be brought back for further discussion. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The council agreed by consensus that approval of the bills above would be <br />withdrawn from the motion. <br /> <br />Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 7:0. <br /> <br />X. CONSIDERATION OF CITY POSITIONS ON STATE lEGISLATION <br /> <br />City Manager Mike Gleason introduced the topic. Glen Potter, Intergovernmen- <br />tal Relations Division, gave the staff report. He pointed out that as re- <br />quested by the council, the agenda packet contains a staff memo providing <br />additional information on certain State Legislation. Staff recommendations <br />have been included in the memo. <br /> <br />Mr. Boles moved, seconded by Ms. Bascom, to approve of priori- <br />ty 1 support for Senate Bills 738, 739, 1082, and 692, and <br />priority 2 support for House Bills 2743, 3439, 3418. Roll <br />call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 7:0. <br />Mr. Boles suggested that IGR minutes be considered at Wednesday work ses- <br />sions. <br /> <br />XI. ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS FOR RIGHTS-Of-WAY <br />ACQUISITION FOR RIVER ROAD SANITARY SEWERS IN BASINS D, E, AND F <br /> <br />City Manager Mike Gleason introduced the topic. les Lyle, Public Works De- <br />partment, gave a brief staff report.
