ITEMS FROM THE CITY COUNCIL, MAYOR, AND CITY MANAGER

A. Lane County Relief Nursery

Ms. Ehrman said that the Relief Nursery's application for State funding
requires special dispensation by the City. She noted that the Department of
Public Safety has indicated there is no competition for the funds. Jean
Phelps, Relief Nursery Director, explained that the grant is for $97,500 and
requires pass-through approval from both the City and Lane County.

Ms. Ehrman moved, seconded by Mr. Green, that approval be
given for the application for funding from the State
Department of Corrections by the Relief Nursery. The motion
passed unanimously; 8:0.

B.
