He said engineering estimates would be available 4i' <br />then on which to base some decision.concerning method of assessment. <br /> <br />Mr. Keller moved second by Mr. Haws to approve the petition with <br />the understanding that further consideration would be given to <br />equitable assessments at time of public hearing on contract award <br />for the project. <br /> <br />Corom <br />3/17/76 <br />Approve <br /> <br />Councilman Williams asked for verification - signatures appearing on the petition <br />were of those property owners in favor of the project only, there were no signa- <br />tures in opposition? Mr. Gilman said that was true, no contact had been made <br />wi th property owners who had not signed. Mr. Keller asked that staff maintain <br />close contact with all of the property owners who would be involved in the assess- <br />ment district to keep them informed wi th regard to the project. <br /> <br />Vote was taken on the motion as stated. Approval of 1990 Plan Major Update Process <br />Council has received a report from Planning Director dated March 4, 1976. <br />Mr. Porter explained that the subconmUttee, appointed at the February 25 <br />COnmUttee meeting, met on March 1 to discuss the process. In attendance were <br />Mayor Anderson, Council members Beal and Keller, City Manager and Mr. Porter. <br />The group proposed that a 7-member Metropoli tan Plan Policy Commi ttee be _ <br />established, rather than the originally proposed ll-member comnlittee, and that ,., <br />it consist of an elected official from each of the three jurisdictions, a <br />planning commissioner from each of the three and one representative from MAPAC. <br />The group felt too that citizen appointment to the committee would be unnecessary <br /> <br />3/22/76 - 10 <br /> <br />~~~~, <br />
