<br />. <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br />April 26,1976 <br /> <br />Adjourned meeting - from April 12, 1976 - was called to order by His Honor Mayor Lester E. <br />Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on April 26, 1976 in the Council Chamber with the following Council <br />members present: Gus Keller, Eric Haws, Wickes Beal, Tom Williams (arrived later), Neil <br />Murray, Ray Bradley, D. W. Hamel, and Edna Shirey. <br /> <br />I-A-1 <br /> <br />I - Public Hearings <br />A. Liquor License - Country Cupboard, 296 East 5th Avenue (Package Store)-New o,ut1et <br /> <br />Liquor License - Grocery Carts, Inc. for <br />PS-Package store - New <br />Staff finds the application in order and <br /> <br />Country Cupboard, 296 E. 5th, <br /> <br />the OLeC report lists no <br /> <br />objectors. <br />Comm <br />4/21/76 <br />~b Hrng <br /> <br />Mr. Keller moved seconded 'by Mr. Haws to call a public hearing on <br />the appli~ation for April 26, 1976.. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />~1anager described the premises located in the 5th Avenue Market on which con- <br />siderable work still is to be done before certificate of occupancy is issued. <br />OLCC reported no objections from those interviewed in the area. Staff has no <br />objections. <br /> <br />Public hearing was held with no testimony presented. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Mr. Keller moved second by Mr. Haws to recommend approval of the applica- <br />tion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />I-A-2 <br /> <br />B.Bids <br />~arks Department - Washington/Jefferson Park Basketball Backboards <br />(Opened April 13, 1976.) <br /> <br />Cascade Recreation Equipment <br />(Contractor: Wests10pe Landscape Co.) <br /> <br />Frank D. Cohen, Inc. <br /> <br />Oregon Athletic Equipment Co. <br /> <br />$ 7,705.08 <br /> <br />10, 164 . 00 <br />No bid <br /> <br />Manager reviewed the bids received and noted a petition containing 236 signatures <br />requesting this installation. Staff recommended contract award to the low bidder. <br /> <br />Public hearing was held with no testimony presented. <br /> <br />Mr. Keller moved second by Mr. Haws to award contract to the low bidder <br />Cascade Recreation Equipment (Contractor: Wests10pe Landscape Co.) at <br />$7,705.08. Rollcall vote. Motion carried, all Council members present <br />voting aye. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2.
