<br />Mr. Haws moved second by Mrs. Beal that the bill be held for second reading and passage on <br />May 24, 1976, lacking two-thirds majority of Council members present for enactment of the <br />emergency clause. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />v - Resolutions <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2507 - Adopting updated housing policy was read by number and title. <br /> <br />Mr. Haws moved second by Mrs. Beal to adopt the resolution. Rollcall vote. Motion <br />carried, all Council members present voting aye. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2508 - Authorizing payment of bills, claims, and progress payments for <br />period April 26 through May 10, 1976 was read by number and title. <br /> <br />Mr. Haws moved second by Mrs. Beal to adopt the resolution. Rollcall vote. Motion <br />carried, all Council members present voting aye. <br /> <br />Manager announced the selection of Charles Kupper as director of the newly <br />created Department of Housing and Community Conservation, expected to be <br />"on the job" June 7.
