Copies of that resolution were distributed to Council. <br /> Commissioner Bob Wood said the County hoped that the City Council would <br /> take simdlar action supporting the extension of CETA Title VI emergency <br /> jobs legislation. They urge communication by wire or phone with Senators <br /> Hatfield and Packwood. <br /> Comm <br /> As there were no objections, Chair ordered a supportive wire be 6/16/76 <br /> sent to both Senators Hatfield and Packwood. Affirm <br /> x. Planning Department Services - Mrs. Beal requested staff response on rroney <br /> - spent on planning functions not covered by fees. Comm <br /> .~ 6/23/76 <br /> It was understood a report would be brought back. Affirm <br /> Y. Zone Change Decisions - Mr. Murray asked for staff response on the Supreme <br /> Court decision regarding the public's right to reverse zone change decisions Comm <br /> made by public officials. It was understood staff would respond shortly. 6/23/76 <br /> Affirm <br /> Z. Metropolitan Plan POlicy Committee Meeting - Mr. Bradley reported that, at <br /> the June 10 meeting of the MPPC, the year 2000 was tentatively selected as Comm <br /> the target date. The committee also passed a resolution requesting that 6/16/76 <br /> the State Land Conservation and Development Commission take action on the File <br /> joint application of Eugene, Springfield and Lane County. <br /> AA. Regional Corrections Facility - Mr. Bradley requested staff response on the <br /> progress of a regional corrections facility., He wondered about consideration <br /> of the feasibility of a city jail~due to approval of a corrections facility <br /> by a large percentage of voters in the city limits. <br /> It was understood discussion of a "city" jail would be Comm <br /> 6/16/76 <br /> scheduled on a Commdttee agenda. File <br /> Lane County Jail Funding Alternatives - Manager noted that the County intends <br /> to resubmdt a jail proposal at the November election. In the meantime, <br /> alternatives will be considered, e.g. eliminating certain features of the <br /> present proposal or incorporating the present jail into the planning. Staff <br /> - feels the County is taking the proper action at this time. <br /> --- <br /> Mr. Bradley wondered about reasons behind transfer of the jail to the County <br /> two years ago. Asst.
