<br />Mr. Lieuallen then expressed that he did not like to see the issue put on the
<br />ballot twice, and did not feel this would be the final vote, but that the
<br />voting on the issue would probably be occurring over and over again. He wished
<br />to see the issue dealt with in an uncomplicated fashion by having only one vote
<br />at this time. Mr. Delay noted concurrence with Mr. Lieuallen, saying he felt
<br />the City Council should react to those issue brought before it and not be setting
<br />ballot measures for certain interested groups in the City~
<br />
<br />Res. No. 2657 - Regarding fluoridation in City water; if repeal
<br />of Ordinance No. 17594 occurs June 28, 1977,
<br />an ordinance calling for vote November 1978
<br />on fluoridation in City water shall be submitted,
<br />was read by number and title.
<br />
<br />Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel to adopt the resolution. Motion
<br />carried with Bradley, Obie, Smith, and Haws voting aye; Williams, Delay,
<br />Lieuallen, and Hamel voting no; and Mayor Keller voting aye to break
<br />the tie.

<br />Mr. Haws moved seconded by Mr. Hamel to select the above
<br />named persons as six finalists for personal interviews
<br />for the position on the Planning Commission. Motion carried
<br />unanimously.

<br />Mr. Williams moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to schedule 12-
<br />minute interviews Wednesday, April 20, starting at 4 p.m.
<br />Motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />It was understood staff would prepare two standard questions for the interviews.
<br />
