IX. SEGREGATION OF ASSESSMENTS A. West side Gilham Road, between Brewer Lane and Minda, SE77-10, -. Lee C. Plants. B. Between Beltline and Candlelight and between Barger and Royal, SE 77-9, John Steinmuller, Transwestern Investors. Mr. Haws moved seconded by Mr. Hamel to approve the segrega- tions. Roll call vote. Motion carried unanimou~ly. X. APPROVAL OF MINUTES--June 30, July 6, and July 13, 1977. Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel to approve the minutes. Roll call vote.. Motion carried unanimously. XI. PARK LAND ACQUISITION IN WEST UNIVERSITY AND WHITEAKER NEIGHBORHOODS Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that according to ORS 192.660, Subsection (2) (a), Council meet in Executive Session at 1:32 p. m. on July 20, 1977 to consider park land acquisition. Motion carried unanimously, and Council adjourned to Executive Session. Mayor Keller resumed the Council meeting at 1:45 p. m. Resolution No. 2715--Authorizing staff to proceed with acquisition of . property at 14th and Hilyard for park land, authorizing exercising - power of eminent domain. Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel to adopt the resolution. Roll call vote. Motion carried unanimous1y. Resolution No. 2720--Authorizing the institution of proceedings in eminent domain for the acquisition of property in the vicinity of 4th and 5th Avenues and Polk Street and Blair Boulevard for a public park site. Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel to adopt the resolution. Roll call vote. Motion carried unanimously. XIV. OTHER ITEMS A. Councilors' vacation plans for August: Assistant Manager said Staff would check with each Councilor as to vacation plans and perhaps the meeting schedule for August would be changed. No items had yet been scheduled for the Monday, August 8 meeting. B. Request by EWEB for Council tour of various facilities: A request had been received for Council to tour facilities either 7/20/77 - 10 . 518
