FV <br />NSP <br />PRIORITY PROJECTS <br />Obtaining $7.74 Million in Rural TIGER funding to <br />improve agricultural freight movement and operational <br />safety for recreational and commercial vehicles, who <br />share the road with bicyclists along Territorial Highway/ <br />Gillespie Corners to Lorane. The County has a 60 percent <br />local match for this project and submitted a TIGER grant <br />application in October of 2017. <br />Completing the regional EmX bus rapid transit system <br />focusing on Main Street in Springfield and the <br />MovingAhead corridors in Eugene. <br />Build a second EmX lane on Franklin Boulevard in <br />Eugene on segments where there is currently only one <br />bi-directional lane. This is a River Districts priority. <br />Construction of Franklin Boulevard between Eugene and <br />Springfield to create enhanced pedestrian and bicycle <br />facilities, add bi-directional EmX lanes in Eugene, and <br />support much needed redevelopment in Glenwood. This <br />is a River Districts priority. <br />Constructing a bicycle/ pedestrian bridge across the <br />Middle Fork of the Willamette River to connect the Middle <br />Fork Path with the 2300 acre Howard Buford Recreation <br />Area (Mt. Pisgah). <br />Constructing a pedestrian bridge to complete the loop <br />trail system in the Delta Ponds habitat area. <br />Safety improvements for Highway 126 west between <br />Eugene and Veneta. <br />Potential trans -load facility in Lane County. <br />Enhancing the development of an intermodal facility <br />serving customers on the Coos Bay Rail Link. <br />Development of a Veneta to Elmira multi -use path in <br />collaboration with the US Army Corps of Engineers. <br />15 <br />
