LANE COUNTY ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT
OUR FEDERAL PRIORITIES FOR 2018.
The United Front priorities continue to reflect our shared vision
and underscore our needs for the region. As always, we are
grateful for your service to Oregon and to the United Front
partnership of Lane County.
Although Lane County and its cities have benefitted from recent
public and private investments, we must continually seek out and
leverage public and private investments to remain a viable and
attractive destination for new residents and businesses. Welcoming
the world to our region in 2021 for the International Association of
Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships is an immense
opportunity to generate collective investments in the River Districts
that will provide benefits long after the world track event has
concluded. This has been a driving force behind our federal agenda
since 2016. As such, we are pulling together to seek additional
local, state, and federal resources to complete the River Districts.
Nonetheless, our community's daily needs continue to demand
attention, and thus, we have divided our federal priorities between
the River Districts projects and our functional priorities.
You and your local offices continue to reach out to us and tirelessly
represent our interests. We appreciate the delegation's thorough
responsiveness to local needs and we remain your partners by
providing information and recommendations valuable to your efforts
in Congress. Please reach out if we can assist you or if we can answer
any questions they may have about our federal priorities.
3
