Acquisition of Park Land in Hawkins Lane Area <br /> ,_ <br /> Assistant Manager said the option for purchasing a property in the Highland <br /> Oaks Drive and Hawkins Lane area had been negotiated for 5.72 acres <br /> with an acquisition price of $120,000. Council was being asked to author- <br /> ize staff to exercise the option. <br /> Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, to authorize staff to <br /> exercise option for purchase of the property. Mr. Smith had asked that discussion <br /> of the item be held to the following Wednesday. He said the major <br /> area of concern by Mr. Smith regarded the scramblers. Mr. Smi th felt <br /> very strongly there was a substantial waste to taxpayers and he would . <br /> like to discuss the matter with Council.
