No. 2788--Amending FAA Grant offer for Airport Development Project <br /> was read by number and title. <br /> Manager said this was for an additional $600,000 to <br /> the original grant offer. This money had not been <br /> included in the original grant offer, because the FAA <br /> had not had the final order to authorize distribution. <br /> This resolution simply accepts those funds. <br /> Res. No. 2789--Endorsing need for improvement of Highway 99 from Airport <br /> Road to Junction City was read by number and title. <br /> Manager noted the resolution had not been received by <br /> Manager's Office and would be omitted from this agenda. e <br /> Res. No. 2790--Authorizing transfer of funds to replace hot water heating <br /> system at Lane County Correctional Facility was read by <br /> number and title. <br /> Manager said the heating system at the jail needed repair <br /> and City was bound by a legal agreement to contribute 50 <br /> percent toward maintenance costs until the new facility <br /> was built. <br /> Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, to adopt the Resolutions. <br /> 2788 and 2790. Roll call vote. Motion carried unanimously. <br />X. Code Amendments <br /> C.B. 1556--Manager said the companies operating silent alarm systems were <br /> not notifying the Police until they had conducted their own <br /> investigation of an alarm set off. The Police Department felt <br /> it was losing opportunities to apprehend perpetrators and this <br /> amendment would require the Police to be notified first, who <br /> would then notify the alarm source to notify owners. He said <br /> the present situation allows intruders to escape and endangers <br /> the owners who go to investigate. <br /> e <br /> , <br /> 11/9/77--10 <br /> 838 <br />
