Motion carried unanimously and the <br /> bill was read the second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that the bill be approved <br /> and given final passage. Appeal of Hearings Official Action, property located south of <br /> Westleigh Street, north of Kevington Avenue, and east of Bailey <br /> Hill Road (Westwood Planned Unit Development) (PO 77-10) <br /> Denied by Hearings Official November 8,1977. <br /> Manager said under the new ordinance this matter was appealed <br /> to City Council. The request was approved with conditions for <br /> di agrammati c approval. Mr. Saul said this PUD was a portion of <br /> the Valley West PUD. That particular PUD was one of the first <br /> considered by the City even before the City had formally adopted <br /> PUD procedures. He reviewed the first phase with approval given <br /> in January, 1968, for 32 single-family units on nine acres. The <br /> single phase was approved in January, 1969. The commercial deve- <br /> lopment received final planned unit development approval July, <br /> 1969. The final phase of Valley West PUD (site of the present <br /> request) received preliminary approval from the Planning Commis- <br /> sion September, 1970. The time limit for that development expired <br /> and in June, 1975, a new development proposal was submitted for <br /> thi s property. That proposal consisted of 115 townhouse units on <br /> 9.5 acres. The preliminary submittal for that development was <br /> sent back to the design team, pending resolution of staff con- <br /> cerns.
