Mr. Lieuallen said that in <br /> his experience with the Public Works Department, the process of eminent <br /> domain is used with extreme caution and care. The Department is reluctant <br /> to take property by this means and will use other alternatives if possible. <br /> Res. No. 2807--Authorizing institution of proceedings in eminent domain <br /> for acquisition by condemnation of right-of-way for <br /> bike and pedestrian path between Polk Street and Grand <br /> Street to the north of Roosevelt Boulevard was read by <br /> number and title. <br /> Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Roll call vote.
