Resolutions <br /> <br />Manager said regarding Resolution No. 2871, a statement had been entered <br />into the record from the attorney of Ms. Graff, owner of the property. <br />Staff recommends passing the resolution and not implementing it immedi- <br />ately. In the event plans for reconstruction of the property were not <br />completed, the resolution could be effected. Manager suggested 30 <br />days' grace peri od before the Ci ty woul d ask for bi ds for demo 1 i ti on. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Obie wondered if there had been any accidents or injuries on the <br />property. There was a negative response. Mr. Obie said he was not sure <br />he saw the crisis. He felt it to be paramount to confiscation of property. <br />He said if there was not an immediate danger to life or limb, he felt <br />Counc.i 1 had a moral responsi bi 1 i ty to provi de time for the property owner <br />to reconstruct the property. <br /> <br />Res. No. 2871--Authorizing abatement of house located at 2043 Ohio (with <br />30 days' grace period) was read by number and title. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, to adopt the resolution. <br />Motion carried unanimously, except Mr. Obie voting no. <br /> <br />Res. No. 2900--Authorizing payment of bills, claims, and progress payments <br />for period April 24 through May 8, 1978, was read by number <br />and title. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, to adopt the resolution. <br />Roll call vote. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VII. <br /> <br />Parks Bid Award For Police, Personnel, and Planning Remodel <br /> <br />Memo from Parks Department, dated May 5, 1978, distributed. Manager <br />noted this would be for extensive remodeling as outlined in the memo for <br />the three departments.
