2005 Legislative Session IGR Committee Bill Approval June 13, 2005 <br /> <br /> SB 0928 3 Support Modifies various provisions dealing with weapons. 3/24 <br /> Requires filing of not less than 10 percent and not more than 15 percent of total <br /> number of signatures required on state initiative petition to obtain ballot title. Specifies <br /> duties of Secretary of State, Attorney General and chief petitioner relating to ballot <br /> title and form of petition. Defines constitutional procedural requirement. Requires <br /> Secretary of State to determine compliance with constitutional procedural <br /> requirements. Prohibits circulation of state initiative measure if initiative measure fails <br /> to comply with constitutional procedural requirements. Applies to state initiative <br /> petitions for which prospective petition is filed on or after effective date of Act. <br /> SB 0933 3 Monitor Declares emergency, effective on passage. 5/12 <br /> Provides exception for bicycles for offense of unsafe passing on right. Modifies <br /> prohibited bicycle speed for purposes of offense of unsafe operation of bicycle on <br /> SB 0938 3 Support/Am sidewalk. Provides exception for offense of failure to use bicycle lane or path. 3/17 <br /> Provides exception for bicycles for offense of unsafe passing on right. Modifies <br /> prohibited bicycle speed for purposes of offense of unsafe operation of bicycle on <br /> SB 0938A 3 Support/Am sidewalk. Provides exception for offense of failure to use bicycle lane or path. 5/05 <br /> Creates crime of unlawful storage of'firearm. Punishes by maximum of one year's <br /> imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both. Punishes second and subsequent convictions by <br /> maximum of five years' imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both. Prohibits sale, delivery <br /> or transfer of firearm to person convicted of unlawful storage of firearm for five-year <br /> period after conviction. Requires gun dealers to post notice concerning obligation to <br /> SB 0942 3 Support/Am store firearms in safe manner. 3/17 <br /> Directs court to suspend driving privileges and right to apply for driving privileges for <br /> period not to exceed one year if person provides alcoholic liquor to person under age <br /> SB 0948 3 Support/Am of 21 years in violation of law. 3/24 <br /> Permits declarant of condominium to expressly warrant against certain defects in <br /> newly constructed units and common elements for not less than three years. Limits <br /> applicability of statute of limitations to three years for construction defects when <br /> declarant elects to expressly warrant against certain defects for three years. Requires <br /> election for three-year warranty and three-year statute of limitations to be disclosed in <br /> contract for sale of condominium unit. Applies to warranties and limitations of actions <br /> .on newly constructed units and common elements delivered into possession of unit <br /> SB 0955 3 Support owner other than declarant on or after effective date. 4/21 <br /> <br /> Page 90 <br /> <br /> <br />
