Public Works Bid Awards
Bids have been distributed to Council members (opened 8/8/78 10 a.m.)
Don Gilman, Assistant Public Works Director, reviewed the bids for
Council. He recommended awarding to low bidders on all six projects.
Public hearing was opened.
Isaac Tevet, 3685 Bardell, questioned the cost of the project to him
as a property owner. He said it will be $6,100. He finds it to be a
little excessive, at least for 95 feet of property. He said he
presently pays for a sanitary sewer on the corner that he is not even
connected to as yet. He also understands the systems development tax
will not be used for this development at all. He said his neighbors
also object to the high cost on the project.
Robert J. Wasson, 580 Lindley Lane, said he is in favor of the
improvement, but against the proposed cost.
Public hearing was closed.
e Bert Teitzel, Public Works, commented that if Council wants to defer
the assessment for those people not connected to the sanitary sewer as
yet, that would be possible. It will be three or four years before
the line is connected.
5t~ 8/14/78--11
