<br />e <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br /> <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Special Meeting <br />Apri 1 30, 1979 <br />5-7 P J~. <br />McNutt Room <br /> <br />Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called <br />to order by Council President Jack Delay 5 p.m., April 30, 1979, in the McNutt <br />Room at City Hall, with the following Councilors present: Betty Smith, Eric <br />Haws, Brian Obie, Gretchen Miller, and Emily Schue. Councilors D. W. Hamel <br />and Scott Lieuallen were absent. <br /> <br />Purpose of the meeting was to interview finalists and make appointments to the <br />Community Development Committee and the Citizens Involvement Committee. <br /> <br />Those interviewed for appointment to the Community Development Committee for <br />an unexpired term ending January 1, 1981, were as follows: Douglas Fish, <br />2195 Wildwood; Oavid Mandelblatt, 1~66 Jefferson; and Stephanie Slayton, <br />2860 Emerald Street. <br /> <br />Councilors Gast ballots for appointment. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to appoint <br />Douglas Fish to the Community Development Committee <br />for an unexpired term ending January 1,1981. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Those interviewed for appointment to the Citizens Involvement Committee were: <br />Daniel Anderson, 2522 Van Ness; Mary Hudzikiewicz (considered, but not present), <br />1915 West 28th; Gerald Lindhorst, 579 Coburg #5; Sharry Manning, 945 Lorane <br />Highway; Darcy Marentett, 1513 Fairmount Blvd.; Denyse McGriff, 1087 East 19th; <br />and Jeannie Walton, 1480 Quaker Street. <br /> <br />Councilors cast ballots for appointment. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Haws, to appoint <br />Mary Hudzikiewicz, Gerald Lindhorst, and Denyse <br />McGriff to the Citizens Involvement Committee for <br />an indefinite term.
