I c I MINUTES ASSESSMENT PANEL HEARING - June 18, 1979 Members Present: Staff Present: Councilor Jack Delay Bert Teitzel, City Engineer Councilor Betty Smith The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M. by Councilor Delay. Levying assessments for public improvement projects l. C.B. 1897 - Levying assessments for a storm sewer in Dillard Road from 43rd Avenue to 300 feet southeast of 43rd Avenue; and 100 feet to 300 feet south of 43rd Avenue from Dillard Road to 800 feet east (1618--78-57) No written protests or requests to be heard were received. RECOMMENDATION: Levy assessment as proposed. 2. C.B. 1898 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer to serve Tax Lots 18 03 17 10 04801 and 04805 adjacent to East 43rd Avenue (1589--78-61) No written protests or requests to be heard were received. RECOMMENDATION: Levy assessment as proposed. - 3. C.B. 1905 - Levying assessments for sanitary sewer on Willakenzie Road from Cal Young Road to 520 feet north (1603--78-32) No written protests or requests to be heard were received. RECOMMENDATION: Levy assessment as proposed. 4. C.B. 1906 - Levying assessments for paving, storm sewer and sidewalk on Lewis Street from Van Buren Street to Jackson Street (1597--78-56) Request to be heard was received from Carlis Brown, 180 N. Jackson Street. Mr. Brown did not appear at the meeting. Mr. Teitzel explained that Mr. Brown was concerned about the cost of the project being above the original estimate, and the condition of the backfill behind the curb. He further explained that an error had been discovered in the distribution of the assessment costs and a re-calculation had reduced the per front foot costs of the paving project.
