<br /> Ms. Smith referred to earlier discussions on reorganization of the Com- <br /> mission structure and the fact that it had been suggested that the com- <br /> missions take on more responsibility to reduce some staff support. She <br />~. wondered if that had happened. Mr. Fischhoff said that, primarily because <br /> of reduction in the Human Rights staff, it has happened to some extent. <br /> Ms. Smith suggested that the City Councilor representatives of the City <br /> Council meet with the Human Rights Council in February to go over the <br /> Commissions' 1980 goals. That action will further a closer working <br /> relationship between Council and commissions. <br /> Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Ms. Miller, to accept the Human <br /> Rights Year-End Report. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> VI. RESOLUTION REGARDING A. KEITH MARTIN <br /> Res. No. 3297--a resolution commending A. Keith Martin for his fine <br /> service to the City Council of Eugene and to all its <br /> citizens was read by number and title and in its <br /> entirety. <br /> Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Ms. Miller, to unanimously adopt <br /> the resolution. Ro 11 call vote. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mayor Keller commended Mr. Martin as an outstanding administrator, an <br /> outstanding citizen, and an outstanding father and husband. <br /> VEt: PARKS DEPARTMENT RIDGE LINE ACQUISITION--Manager said that the City <br />A---- ' is being offered a donation of 10 acres of the ridge line property <br />"'-.' <br /> designated as Tax Lots 600 and 602, contingent upon that donation being <br /> accepted during the year 1979. It is pr~perty that the City had been <br /> interested in buying previously anyway. <br /> Parks Director Ernest Drapela said that the property owners approached <br /> the City late this year and indicated that, if conditions could be met <br /> by the end of 1979, they would donate the 10 acres. Mr. Drapela said <br /> the conditions have been worked out and there do not seem to be any <br /> problems. <br /> Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Miller, to accept the donation <br /> of the 10 acres of ridge line property known as Tax Lots 600 <br /> and 602.
