He said all the Seavey Loop area is in the floodway, which would cause thi s to be bui It above ground. In order to use FAU funds, it must be a part of the urban area. Mr. Croteau noted that, if certain land uses in the private lands near Mt. Pisgah were to happen, cities would like to have some say in what it should be. Mr. Delay asked if Lane County would agree to keep the parkland out of the plan but include the private land. Ms. Miller stated this could be proposed as a compromise. She feels, however, that the whole fight is over the private land but it would clarify the issue to bring it out into the open. Mayor Keller noted that the only area that Lane County had talked about was Mt. Pisgah and Howard Buford area. Mr. Gordon stated that someone at the meeting said it would not be developed because it's a park; several people choked on this statement. He will prepare a map to show exactly where the private property is and who owns it. Mayor Keller asked what the next step would be after the private property was identified. Further discussion ensued and Mr. Croteau stated that Willamalane Park District would like to see this included to make it available for their residents since this is a metropolitan park as is Alton Baker. Ms. Smith recommended that this be included. Mr. Croteau responded that there would be additional information available at the coordinating committee meeting. Mr. Croteau stated that next week Chapter 2 would be discussed. Mayor Keller noted that he would like to get Chapter 1 totally discussed before going on to Chapter 2.
