<br />e <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br />June 4, 1980 <br /> <br />Adjourned meeting from May 28, 1980, of the City Council of the City of Eugene, <br />Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller at 11:30 a.m., June 4, <br />1980, in the City Council Chamber, Eugene, Oregon, with the following councilors <br />present: Betty Smith, Brian Obie, Eric Haws, Jack Delay, D. W. Hamel, Gretchen <br />Miller, and Emily Schue. Councilor Scott Lieuallen was absent. <br /> <br />I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />A. Bancrofting Rates--Ms. Smith stated she had participated in the <br />June 2, 1980, Assessment Panel Hearing and there was discussion on the <br />seven-percent vs. ten-percent interest rate on Bancrofting. She would <br />like the council to pay particular attention to those concerns when <br />reviewing the minutes of that hearing. <br /> <br />B. Condominium Conversion Ordinance--Councilor Delay stated that accord- <br />1ng to his understanding discussion had been held over on the condo- <br />minium conversion ordinance until today. He asked why it was not on <br />the agenda. He noted he would like to add it to the end of the agenda <br />as Tim Sercombe is present from the City Attorney's office and ques- <br />tions should be directed to him at this time. <br /> <br />C. Eu ene Urban Renewal A encY--City Manager stated that an additional <br />reso utlon as een lstrlbuted to the council concerning the member- <br />ship of the Eugene Urban Renewal Agency Board which would be increased <br />from seven to nine members, with two of the members to be City Coun- <br />cilors who would serve for four years unless earlier terminated by <br />reason of the expiration of the councilor's term of office. This <br />would also change the name from Eugene Renewal Agency to Urban Renewal <br />Agency of the City of Eugene. <br /> <br />CB 2139--An ordinance concerning the Urban Renewal Agency, the City of <br />Eugene, Oregon; amending Res. No. 1433; amending Section 2.013 <br />of the Eugene Code, 1971; and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that the bill be read <br />the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous <br />consent of the council, and that enactment be considered at <br />this time. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CB 2139 was read the second time by council bill n~mber only. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />6/4/80--1 <br />
