AGREEMENT WITH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (memo distributed)
Mr. Henry stated this resolution is modeled after last year's; it does not
allocate 25 percent of the room tax money to the Chamber of Commerce but
is instead an eight-percent increase over last year. This might allow more
flexibility in the use of the balance amount of approximately $15,000. If the
council wants to authorize the full 25 percent that the chamber has requested,
then, the figures in the resolution can be changed. Since the new Convention
Bureau has been established, there may be good reason to recommend that the
entire 25 percent be assigned.
"
- _.
'_/
6/23/80--14
