Eugene Citizen Involvement Committee (memo distributed) <br /> Mr. Henry stated this is a two-part item, the first part being a presentation of <br /> , the annual report and the second part the proposed update of the Eugene Citizen <br /> Involve~ent Committee program. He introdu~ed Terri Vanderpool, Planning Depart- <br /> ment, to summarize the annual report and stated that councilors Schue and Miller <br /> would aid with presentation of the update proposals. <br /> Ms. Vanderpool stated that Emily Schue has been chairperson of this committee <br /> for the past year. The Citizen Involvement Committee was established in February <br /> 1979. It was charged with several functions which included a regular review of <br /> Eugene1s Citizen Involvement Program and annual reports to the Planning Commis- <br /> sion and the City Council on committee activities. Some of the major projects <br /> which have been undertaken by the committee are continuous monitoring of the <br /> citizen involvement processes in conjunction with the Metropolitan Plan update, <br /> and a review of the procedures used in the zone change process. Several of the <br /> procedures used in this change application process have been improved, one of <br /> which is a brilliantly colored posting notice for public hearings. She stated <br /> this committee has been verb enthusiastic.
