<br /> I <br /> M I NUT E S <br /> e EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br /> August 11, 1980 <br /> Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called <br /> to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller at 7:30 p.m., August 11, 1980, with <br /> the following councilors present: Betty Smith, Scott Lieuallen, BrianObie, Eric <br /> Haws, D. W. Hamel, Gretchen Miller, and Emily Schue. Councilor Jack Delay was <br /> absent. <br /> Mr. Henry noted that there would'be an International Youth Association dinner <br /> held on Wednesday. Those who wish to attend should notify Jean Paul. <br /> I. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> A. Concurrent Annexation/Rezoning <br /> 1. Property located on the east side of Bertelsen Road between West <br /> 18th Avenue and Bailey Hill Road from County RA Suburban District <br /> to City R-1 Low-Density Residential (Eugene Rouch, Jr.) (A/Z 80-1) <br /> e (map distributed) <br /> Mr. Henry stated that this item has been recommended for approval <br /> by the Planning Commission which voted 6:0 on annexation and 4:2 <br /> on zoning on July 1, 1980. This is a zone change and a request <br /> for annexation to the Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater Service <br /> District. He introduced Bill French, Planning, to provide back- <br /> ground information. <br /> Mr. French stated that Adrienne Lannom also is present from the <br /> Planning Commission if questions need to be directed to her. He <br /> referred to page II-A-15 on the agenda for the map of where this <br /> property is located. It is on the east side of Bertelsen Road <br /> between West 18th and Bailey Hill Road. Presently, it is vacant <br /> and the applicant is requesting annexation. The land use is <br /> basically residential, but to the west is property that is still <br /> within the county. <br /> No ex parte contacts or conflicts of interest were noted. Staff <br /> notes and minutes were entered into the record. <br /> Public hearing was opened. <br /> e <br /> 8/11/80--1 <br />
