W. Hamel, Gretchen Miller, and Emily Schue. Councilor <br /> Eric Haws was absent. <br /> Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to <br /> order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller. <br /> 1. CITY MANAGER SELECTION <br /> Mayor Keller stated that at the conclusion of the special City Council meeting, <br /> a press conference will be held to answer questions. <br /> Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to appoint Michael D. <br /> Gleason as City Manager with further neqotiations to be worked out <br /> with the Mayor and the new City Manager, effective in early <br />e January 1981.
