.

e

e

Mr. Gleason introduced Jim Croteau, Planning Department.

Mr. Croteau stated that this is an easement vacation for part of a subdivision
that was approved in January 1980, and it is shown on the vicinity map. The
proposed subdivision currently is not feasible due to an old landfill that was
on the western. portion of the subdivision which was not known at the time of the
subdivision approval. This action will wipe the slate clean and allow a new
plan for the subdivision taking this into account. The Planning Commission
recommended approval of this easement vacation unanimously on December 15, 1980.

Public hearing was opened; there being no testimony, public hearing was closed.

CB 2259--An ordinance authorizing the vacation of a portion of a subdivi-
sion located east of Beltline Road, north of and adjacent to the
proposed storm channel and Roosevelt Boulevard extension.

Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that the bill be read the
second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of
the council, and that enactment be considered at this time.
