W. Hamel, <br /> Cynthia Wooten., Gretchen Miller. <br /> ABSENT: Councilors Emily Schue and Eric Haws, Mayor Keller. <br /> Adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called <br /> to order by Her Honor Acting Mayor Gretchen Miller. <br /> 1. ITEMS FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA ADJUSTMENTS <br /> A. Weed Control <br /> Ms. Wooten stated that public agencies are trying to manage weeds. She is <br /> concerned about the amount of herbicides being used in public parks and public <br /> 1 ands. She is very concerned about the use of 2,4-0 and 2,4,5-D and would like <br /> e information on what other agencies use these particular herbicides within the <br /> City limits. Ms. Miller stated that a report would be brought back to the <br /> council. <br /> B. Ice Cream Social Invitation <br /> Ms. Miller stated that the council had received an invitation to attend an ice <br /> cream social. She noted that she would pass it along so that any interested <br /> councilors might attend. <br /> C. Electric Energy Committee <br /> Ms. Miller stated that she had received a letter from L-COG asking that the <br /> council appoint a representative to the Local Electric Energy Committee for <br /> power planning in the Northwest. This is a result of the Northwest Power Bill <br /> and local utilities and general governments, along with the Bonneville Power <br /> Administration, have been invited to serve on this committee. She asked that <br /> interested councilors let her know of their interest because she would like to <br /> appoint someone by next Wednesday. <br /> D. Resource Recovery Advisory Board <br /> Ms. Miller stated that Lane County has asked for a representative from the <br /> council to be appointed to the Resource Recovery Advisory Board. Councilor <br /> Wooten has indicated that she would like to serve as the initial representative. <br /> Council concurrence was that Ms. Wooten be appointed. <br /> e <br /> MINUTES--Eugene City Council June 17, 1981 Page 1 <br />
