W . H ame 1 . ._ .>oJ <br /> Adjourned meeting of the City Ceuncil of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called <br /> to order by His Honor, Mayor Gus Keller. <br /> , <br /> I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA ADJUSTMENTS <br /> A. Parking Permits for Craftspeople <br /> Ms. Wooten stated that several months ago, a problem was brought to her attention <br /> by local craftspeople involved in "cottage industries." They were being cited <br /> fer parking in commercial zones. Jim Hanks, Ed Smith, and Mike Gleason have <br /> enacted a new commercial parking permit beginning October 1, 1981, so that there <br /> e will be a $3 per month parking permit available for these people. If any <br /> councilors are interested in more informatien, please see Ms. Wooten or the City <br /> Manager. <br /> B. Deferred Assessments <br /> Ms. Miller stated that at the assessment hearings, when an assessment is deferred <br /> for sewer hookup, and then the sewer is hooked up, owners pay what the original <br /> assessment would have been. When the review of assessments is done, she would <br /> like staff to determine if these people could be charged the actual cost .of heok- <br /> up or interest on this deferment until they ask to be hooked up. <br /> C. Appointments <br /> Mayor Keller stated that there are appeintments to be made for the Chambers <br /> Connector Citizens Committee, Public Solicitation Committee, and the Civic <br /> Center Commission. <br /> Ms. Miller moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, to re-appoint Don Dickover, <br /> 4864 Donald Street, representing the Chamber of Commerce, to the <br /> Public Solicitatien Cemmittee for a term expiring January 1, 1985; <br /> to appoint Suzanne M. McRoberts, 2295 McLean Boulevard, to <br /> complete the term of Cec Smith on the Civic Center Commission; <br /> and to appoint the following people to the Chambers Connector <br /> Citizens Committee: Ruth Bascem, 2114 University, to fill the <br /> at-large position fer a term .of approximately two years; Joan Rich, <br /> e' <br /> MINUTES--Eugene City Ceuncil September 30, 1981 Page 1 <br />
