Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br />F. Jefferson Pool Status <br />Mr. Lindberg stated that a memo had been received from Ernie Drapela, Parks and <br />Recreat ion. Mr. Lindberg is encouraged by the speedy staff work being done on <br />the current situation with Jefferson Pool and the damages caused by the storm. <br />Mr. Hamel added that at a Joint Parks Committee meeting this morning, Mr. Drapela <br />had announced Parks and Recreation staff are working to restore use of the pool. <br />G. Congratulations To Public Works Staff <br />Ms. Wooten noted appreciation for the fine work done by staff in regard to leaf <br />pickup in the West Eugene area. <br />H. Economic Diversification Subcommittee <br />Mayor Keller announced that Ms. Wooten, Mr. Obie, and he would serve on the <br />Economic Diversification Subcommittee. <br />1. Library Board Appointment <br />Mayor Keller stated that a staff request had been received regarding the appoint- <br />ment to the Library Board. -- <br /> Ms. Miller moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, to reappoint Tom Gilbert, <br /> 1451 Waite, to the Library Board for a term expiring January 1, <br /> 1986. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br />J. Constituent's Concern <br />Ms. Miller stated that she had distributed information regarding fluoride to the <br />council from a constituent. <br />K. Metropolitan Wastewater Funding <br />Micheal Gleason, City Manager, stated that Bill Pye has presented information <br />regarding MWMC funding. It looks as though there is a good possibility that <br />there will be money to complete a major portion of the wastewater project. <br />L. Appointments <br />Cathy Freedman, City Manager's Office, stated that information has been distrib- <br />uted to the council regarding upcoming appointments, but there are some changes: <br />Maria Tenerio should be added to the list of those applying to the Community <br />Development Committee; Harris Hoffman should be deleted from the CDC list since <br />he is already a member of that committee; Marna Elliott should be deleted from <br />the Joint Housing Committee a list of applicants since she no longer resides in <br />this area. <br /> e <br />MINUTES--Eugene City Council November 18, 1981 Page 2 <br />
