<br />M I N U T E S <br /> <br /> <br />Eugene Urban Renewal Agency <br />Work Session <br />McNutt Room—Eugene City Hall <br /> <br /> October 16, 2006 <br /> 6:15 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: Jennifer Solomon, Andrea Ortiz, David Kelly, Betty Taylor, Gary Papé, <br />Bonny Bettman, George Poling, Chris Pryor. <br /> <br />Her Honor Mayor Kitty Piercy called the meeting of the Eugene City Council acting as the Eugene Urban <br />Renewal Agency (URA) to order. <br /> <br /> <br />A. URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY SPECIAL WORK SESSION <br /> <br />City Manager Dennis Taylor introduced the item, calling the council’s attention to the motion tabled when <br />councilors considered the item on October 11. Planning and Development Director Susan Muir and <br />Planning and Development Department staff Mike Sullivan and Denny Braud were also available to answer <br />questions. <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy reviewed the motion on the table: <br /> <br />I move to direct the Agency Director to enter into a 90-day exclusive negotiation period <br />th <br />with TK Partners for the sale and development of the 10 and Charnelton development <br />site based upon the proposal submitted, and to return to the City Council, acting as the <br />Urban Renewal Agency, with the proposed terms of the sale and development following <br />the negotiation period. <br /> <br />City Manager Taylor recommended the URA first support the motion on the floor and then go into an <br />executive session to discuss a negotiating strategy. <br /> <br />Ms. Solomon arrived. <br /> <br />The motion passed unanimously, 8:0. <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy adjourned the meeting of the URA at 6:20 p.m. and called the URA into executive session. <br /> <br /> <br />B.
