stnd <br />1 Avenue and 2 Avenue Paving <br />Project Description: This project consisted of rehabilitation of two streets in the Whitaker <br />Community Council neighborhood in Council Ward 7: <br />st <br />1 Avenue from Blair Boulevard to the west end <br />· <br />nd <br />2 Avenue from Blair Boulevard to Garfield Street <br />· <br />Treatment Methodology: <br />st <br />1 Avenue was reconstructed by removing the existing asphalt and concrete pavement, <br />· <br />reconditioning the existing aggregate base, and placing 9 inches of concrete surfacing. <br />nd <br />2 Avenue was reconstructed by removing the existing asphalt pavement, reconditioning <br />· <br />the existing aggregate base, and repaving with 8 inches of asphalt. <br />Costs: Total project costs, from all funding sources, are estimated at $1,423,664. <br />Preliminary Estimate based on Pavement <br />Management System (PMS) Surface Evaluation = $1,803,000 <br />$1,347,670 <br />Total Projected/Actual Paving Bond Funds Used = <br />$455,330 <br />Difference = <br />Additional Sources of Funding: Stormwater utility funds, wastewater utility funds, EWEB funds, <br />Signal Improvement funds, and Bike/Ped Bond Funds. <br />nd <br />Bicycling and Pedestrian Improvement funds were used for the addition of bike legends on 2 <br />Avenue. <br />Project Photos <br /> Completed Paving on 1st Avenue Completed Paving on 2nd Avenue <br />2017 Report to the SRRP Page 10 <br /> <br />
