With additional time, and an opportunity to <br />see what the 2007 Legislature does, an ordinance might be developed that can have more widespread <br /> <br />support. <br /> <br /> <br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />As previously indicated, creation of a fund to pay compensation for valid Measure 37 claims could help <br />the City preserve its regulatory authority under its Land Use Code (Chapter 9). <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br /> <br />The council may: <br />1. Adopt the ordinance as drafted; <br />2. Amend the ordinance and then adopt it; <br />3. Provide direction to schedule another work session on the proposed ordinance following the 2007 <br /> legislative session; or <br />4. Take no further action. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />In light of the suggestion from a variety of interested parties for more time to improve the ordinance, the <br />City Manager recommends that the council defer action on this ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION <br /> <br />I move that this ordinance be scheduled for a work session following the 2007 legislative session. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />A.
