<br />Police Commission

<br />Mayor Piercy commented that the candidates for the Police Commission had been “extraordinarily good.”
<br />She noted that there would be five more openings in 2007 and expressed hope that the applicants who were
<br />not appointed in this round would reapply.

<br />Councilor Solomon, seconded by Councilor Ortiz, moved to reappoint John Ahlen to Posi-
<br />tion 4 on the Police Commission for a four-year term beginning November 1, 2006, and
<br />ending on October 31, 2010.

<br />Councilor Ortiz wanted to underscore how well-qualified all of the applicants were. She urged people to
<br />reapply and to volunteer for the City.
