ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 21-18-05 <br />of the <br />City Manager <br />APPOINTING PAULA HERTWIG HOPKINS AS THE CITY'S INTERIM <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF CENTRAL SERVICES. <br />The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />A. Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002, the <br />City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City, and is specifically authorized <br />to appoint and remove all employees (except as otherwise provided in the Charter), and to enforce <br />all ordinances of the City. <br />B. Interim Central Services Director Sue Cutsogeorge retired on June 30, 2018. <br />Therefore, it is necessary to appoint an Interim Executive Director of Central Services until such <br />time as a permanent Executive Director is appointed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Manager of the City of Eugene orders and directs <br />that: <br />1. Paula Hertwig Hopkins is appointed as the City's Interim Executive Director of <br />Central Services beginning July 9, 2018. <br />2. While acting as Interim Central Services Executive Director, Paula Hertwig <br />Hopkins shall have all of the administrative powers of the Central Services Executive Director <br />except that she shall not have authority to (a) hire or fill positions, or (b) impose disciplinary <br />actions that exceed oral reprimands without first consulting with, and receiving concurrence from, <br />the Assistant City Manager. <br />Dated and effective this `' day of July, 2018. <br />7t 5v,7 <br />Jon R.
