MOTION <br />None: Discussion Only. <br />II. AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY <br />The purpose of this work session is to update City of Eugene and Lane County elected <br />officials on work to develop a comprehensive homeless services system map and <br />progress towards recommendations for public shelter and other system improvements. <br />Staff from the Technical Assistance Collaborative (TAC) will present the results of their <br />work thus far and seek specific feedback to inform refinement of the homeless services <br />systems map and forthcoming recommendations. The final report will be delivered in <br />December, 2018. <br />III. BACKGROUND/IMPLICATIONS OF ACTION <br />A. Board Action and Other History <br />On any given night, more than 1,642 Lane County residents are homeless and <br />1,135 are without shelter. Many have been homeless for more than one year.
