<br />NOTICE OF THE CREATION OF THE "CAMPUS DISTRICT" FOR <br />PURPOSES OF DIFFERENTIATING ON-STREET AND OFF-STREET <br />PARKING FEES. <br /> <br />To: The Mayor and City Councilors of the City of Eugene, and other interested persons. <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Sections 5.040, <br />5.285(5) and 5.335 of the Eugene Code, 1971, on A\?t..\11)T' ~~, 2008, the City Manager of the <br />City of Eugene issued Administrative Order No. 53-08-03 adopting the creation of the Campus <br />District for the establishment of alternative parking fees for that area than that of areas outside of <br />the Campus District. The Campus District is bounded by Ferry Street on the west, 24th Avenue <br />on the south, Broadway Avenue to Franklin Boulevard to Millrace Drive to Garden Avenue on <br />the north, and Fairmount to Columbia Street on the east, as shown on the Campus District <br />boundary map attached as Exhibit A to Administrative Order 58-08-03. The Campus District <br />includes parking on both sides of the streets, including off-street parking lots, which make up the <br />boundary streets of the district. <br /> <br />Creation of the Campus District is consistent with the applicable criteria of Sections <br />5.055, 5.285, and 5.335 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and is necessary in order to ensure that the <br />parking fees will be just and reasonable. In addition, it will ensure compliance with the <br />Council's adopted transportation and economic development goals, to meet the demand for <br />public parking, and enable the City to meet its financial obligations for the management of the <br />parking facilities. <br /> <br />Administrative Order No. 53-08-03, with the attached Campus District boundary map is <br />available for review at the office of the City Manager, City Hall, 777 Pearl Street, Eugene, <br />Oregon 97401 during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, <br />exclusive of holidays). <br /> <br />Any person aggrieved by the increases in the fees noted above may file a written notice of <br />appeal with the City Manager in the manner provided in Section 5.045 of the Eugene Code, 1971 <br />within 30 days of the date of posting indicated below. The notice of appeal shall be accompanied <br />by the appeal fee established by the City Manager pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971. <br /> <br />Jon R.
