I’m writing to encourage the City of Eugene to authorize multi property tax exemption to the <br />loft homes to be constructed by Obie Properties across from the 5th Street Public Market. A healthy, vibrant, <br />progressive downtown requires homes that are both market rate and affordable. The historic and beautiful <br />homes to the north, the shops, restaurants and services in the Market offer the perfect area for more diverse <br />housing. The lofts fill a significant part of that need. <br /> <br />Eugene has long looked at methods to revitalize it’s core and historic districts.
