The Budget Committee serves to delegate finances to city departments to help policies and procedures run efficiently. <br />How the budget is determined is crucial to the implementation of policies. It also creates perspective on the priorities <br />and goals of the city. <br />1 What do you see as the role of the Budget Committee? <br />I am passionate about the role governmental organizations play in representing citizens. Financial management and <br />department budgeting have a significant impact on the policies and decisions that are made for the city. I have a <br />strong analytical mind as well as a passion for community and the environment. I believe I can contribute to making <br />fair and equitable budgetary decisions on this committee to better serve our community. <br />2 What particular contribution do you believe you can make as a member of the Budget Committee? <br />I am currently pursing a Master's in Public Administration. My coursework has provided me with experience <br />researching and analyzing data as well as economic policies. While I do not have direct financial statement <br />experience, I do have experience in reviewing recruitment numbers for monthly goals in both my previous roles as an <br />Enrollment Manager and an Account Manager. <br />3 What experience or education have you had in reviewing financial data (budgets, financial statements, etc.)? <br />1. Obtain citizen feedback to address main needs and wants. <br />2. Thorough data analysis of service delivery processes to review the effectiveness. <br />3.
