ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 53-18-18 <br />of the <br />City Manager of the City of Eugene <br />AUTHORIZING FREE CITY PARKING ON DECEMBER 24 AND 31, 2018. <br />The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br />A. Section 5.040 of the Eugene Code, 1971, authorizes the City Manager or the <br />Manager's designee to impose conditions upon which streets and other public property may be <br />used for parking. <br />B. On August 27, 2015, I issued Administrative Order No. 53-15-08-F, establishing <br />the City'S Parking Fee Schedule. <br />C. Due to the low demand for parking on December 24 and 31, 2018, the City will not <br />be enforcing on-street parking fees or fees for City-owned surface parking lots or parking garages, <br />except for fees associated with the Fairmount Neighbors Event Parking District and Train Depot <br />Lot 61. Therefore, I find that it is in the public interest to waive on-street parking fees and fees for <br />City-owned surface lots and garages on December 24 and 31, 2018, except for fees associated with <br />the Event Parking District and Train Depot lot. <br />On the basis of these findings, I order that: <br />1. Except as provided in Section 2 below, on December 24 and 31, 2018, all on-street <br />parking fees and off-street parking fees for City-owned surface parking lots and parking garages <br />in the City of Eugene are waived. <br />2. The free parking authorized in Section 1 above does not apply to the Fairmount <br />Neighbors Event Parking District established by Administrative Order No. 58-17-17, or to the <br />Train Depot lot, Lot 61, located at 433 Willamette Street. <br />Dated and effective this 21 S1 day of December, 2018. <br />~ ~ <br />Jon R.
