The Commission makes recommendations to the Council on the <br />adoption, revision, and update of the Metropolitan Area General Plan, Eugene community plans, land <br />use regulations, and other measures to implement these plans. <br /> <br />In order to effectively achieve its purpose, the Commission shall: <br /> identify work program items for the Planning Division that allow the City to anticipate issues <br /> and get ahead of trends; <br /> o assist the City Council to maintain consistency of policies related to community growth and <br /> development; <br /> ~ shorten timeframes from start to finish of projects to ensure that issues are addressed in a timely <br /> manner; and <br /> ~ continue to represent Commission recommendations to the City Council. <br /> <br /> Approved by the Commission, 1993 <br /> <br /> <br />
