ORDINANCE NO. 20244 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING STATE TRAFFIC LAWS <br />AND AMENDING SECTION 5.005 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Section 5.005 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide: <br /> <br />5.005 State Traffic Laws. The provisions of ORS Chapters 801,802, 803,805, 806, 807, <br /> 809, 8t0, 811, 813, 814, 815, 816, 818, 819~ 820, 821,822, 823, 825 and OAR <br />740.~00.0010 issued thereunder, and ORS chapter153, are hereby adopted, and violations thereof <br />shall constkate an offense against the city. <br /> <br /> S~.~tion 2. The City Recorder, at the request of~ or with the concurrence of the City Attorney, <br />is authorized to administratively correct any reference errors contained herein or in other provisions <br />of the Eugene Code, 1971, to the provisions added, amended or repealed herein. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Certain Bills passed at the 2001 Legislation Session that mmend the state traffic <br />laws become effective January 1. 2002. Therefbre, it is necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, welfare and safety for this Ordinance to have immediate effect. Therefore, this Ordinance <br />shall become effecfi ye immediately-upon its passage by the City Counc~l and approval by the Mayor, <br />retention by the Mayor for more than ten days, or readoption over a Mayoral veto by two-thirds of <br /> <br />all members of the City Council. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br /> <br />14t~ day of January, 200~ <br /> <br /> City Recorder <br /> <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br /> <br />14th day of January, 200~ <br /> <br />ayor <br /> <br /> <br />
